Verari Ships iSCSI Storage System
San Diego-based Verari Systems announced earlier this week that it is shipping an iSCSI-based SAN storage system. The company's PUREcluster ipSAN provides virtualization of disk capacity into a single pool of shared storage, and provides features such as automated snapshots, remote replication, and provisioning over iSCSI links. The new storage system supports up to 4TB of storage capacity, includes RAID protection, and fits into a 3U rack mount system. Verari is backed by the Carlyle Group, Celerity Partners, Sierra Ventures, and Voyager Capital.
