Zingle Raises $3M
Carlsbad-based Zingle, a startup developing messaging tools that allows businesses to connect to consumers via messaging and texting, has raised $3M in a Series A funding round. The funding came from Rincon Ventures and Crosscut Ventures. Zingle's products--which are currently being used in the hospitality, parking, food and beverage, and other areas--provide a dashboard and other ways to let businesses interact with their customers via texting. Zingle was founded by Ford Blakely. According to the company, it will use the new funding round to invest further in sales, marketing and product. Blakely said the market has "caught fire" as businesses have begun to recognize the effectiveness of using messaging and texting to communicate with their customers. More information »
