Xirrus Racks Up Another Education Customer
Thousand Oaks-based wireless network equipment provider Xirrus appears to be on a roll in signing up education customers, saying Wednesday that it has signed up Wasatch High School, located in Utah, as its latest customer. The firm did not disclose financial details of the win, but said that the high school is using its equipment to provide Wi-Fi access in a 320,000 square foot facility, over 60 classrooms, serving more than 1,000 students and faculty. Xirrus is the latest startup of Xircom founder Dirk Gates.
