Xirrus In Channel Expansion Effort
Thousand Oaks-based Xirrus, the developer of Wi-Fi access arrays, looks to be a big channel expansion push, saying Thursday that it has expanded its partnership program in Europe, for the enterprise, as well as for schools and universities. Xirrus said it has launched a channel partner program specifically aimed value added resellers and systems integrators in Europe, as it looks to tackle that new market. Concurrently, the firm said it launched a new enterprise partner program in the U.S., with a variety of support, training, and certification options for VARs and others. As part of that partner program, it said it has signed Logical Choice Technologies, a national provider of educational technology solutions, to help it reach schools, colleges, and universities with its product. Xirrus has a Wi-Fi array which combines multiple Wi-Fi access points into a single, switched hardware product, which offers up better bandwidth and coverage for high density installations such as schools, campuses, conference centers, and other areas with a dense population of Wi-Fi users.
