Vuguru Inks International Distribution Deals for 'Prom Queen'
Beverly Hills-based digital media studio Vuguru, which is headed by ex-Disney head Michael Eisner, said this morning that it has inked two new deals to distribute the firm's content in France and Japan. Vuguru said that French firm Cyber-Group Animation will distribute a French-dubbed version of its "Prom Queen" and "Prom Queen: Summer Heat" online series for mobile, broadband, TV, and home video; Japanese company Rights Entertainment will distribute the U.S. series in Japan. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed. Vuguru is owned by The Tornante Company, the investment arm of Michael Eisner; The Tornante Company also holds a stake in Veoh Networks, and other firms.
