TV Time Acquires Mediamorph
Santa Monica-based TV Time, a developer of an app which lets users report information about their engagement with TVs and movies, has acquired New York City-based Mediamorph, according to the two companies. Financial details of the acquisition wer e not announced. Mediamorph is a provider of entertainment content distribution and tracking services. TV Time is led by longtime Southern California technology veteran Richard Rosenblatt. The newly combined companies will operate under a new umbrella organization, Whip Media Group. Rosenblatt was previously CEO of Demand Media, and also had been Chairman of MySpace. Whip Media originally got its start as WhipClip, an app which had allowed users to share their favorite TV clips. The two said that Mediamorph's CEO, Rob Cardos, becomes President of Whip Media; Mediamorph will continue to have its offices in New York City.
