TigerText In Healthcare Smartphone Integration Deal
Santa Monica-based TigerText, which develops secure messaging software which is used in the healthcare industry, said this morning that it is working with Honeywell on a deal which will integrate the company's apps with the Honeywell Dolphin CT50h smartphone. Honeywell's CT50h is specifically designed for healthcare applications, and integrates standard smartphone functions with a barcode scanner for scanning in patient information and data. TigerText said it will use the CT50h's scanner to verify a patient's identity, and a "bot" to pull information from electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
