THQ Completes Cost Cutting
Agoura Hills-based video game maker THQ announced this morning that it has "substantially completed" its latest business realignment, which will save the firm $220M in annual costs. THQ announced in February that it was cutting 600 people, or 24 percent of the workforce. THQ said that it will record approximately $45M in business realignment expenses for its fiscal 2009 fourth quarter, plus approximately $41M in impairment charges related to cancellation of titles and studio closures.
