The Walt Disney Company's Streaming Services Hits 137M Paid Subscriptions
Burbank-based The Walt Disney Company says it has reached 137M paid subscriptions across its direct-to-consumer services, including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, and says it hopes to reach 300-350M subscriptions to those services by 2024. The company said the growth "shatters previous guidance" on its expected growth of those services. Disney says it now has 11.5M ESPN+ subscribers, 38.8M Hulu subscribers, and 86.8M Disney+ subscribers. Disney attributed the expected growth in those services to come from "significant increase in content output."
