Staccato Gets Wireless USB Certification
San Diego-based Staccato Communications, a developer of ultra-wideband wireless semiconductors, announced Monday that the firm's RipCord2 UWB chips have received wireless USB certification from the USB Implementers Forum. According to the company, the certification ensures interoperability of its products with multiple vendors. Staccato also said that the firm's Ripcord2 chips have received FCC regulatory certification. Staccato develops wireless USB chips. The firm recently merged with competitor Artimi and pulled in $20M in new funding.
