SpaceX Test Fires New Raptor Engines
Hawthorne-based SpaceX has test fired its new Raptor engines, the new engines which are being developed for the next SpaceX launch vehicle. The Raptor engine is a liquid-fueled rocket engine which uses methane and liquid oxygen, and are expected to have about twice the power of the current Merlin 1D engines used in the SpaceX Falcon 9.
