Semtech Hit By Fire At Mexico Factory
Camarillo-based Semtech, a manufacturer of analog and mixed signal semiconductors, reported Tuesday evening that the firm has been impacted by a fire at the firm's Reynosa, Mexico fabrication facility. According to Semtech, there were not injuries from the fire, but the firm has seen partial damage and loss of equipment at the site. Semtech said it expects to resume operations at the site within eight to nine weeks. According to Semtech, it expects that the fire will have less than a million dollars of impact on its third quarter fiscal year 2009 revenues, and two to three million dollars in impact on its fourth quarter revenues. No details on the cause of the fire was given.
