Ross Levinsohn Named Head of The Hollywood Reporter
Ross Levinsohn, the former head of Yahoo and Fox Interactive Media, has just been appointed CEO of Guggenheim Digital Media, the parent firm of The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Adweek, and other entertainment focused properties. According to the THR, Levinsohn has been named CEO of a newly renamed Guggenheim Digital Media, which is the parent firm of those properties. THR said that Levinsohn will be in charge of identifying new media businesses in which the global financial services company can invest -- or acquire. Levinsohn has been an influential force in the Los Angeles technology startup scene, most recently joining the board of ZEFR; he had also been very active in making investments in local startups, running a venture fund, taking board seats, and otherwise advising the startup community here over the last few years.
