Ring Adds New Security Cameras
Santa Monica-based Ring, which is now owned by Amazon, said on Thursday that it has launched a new line of indoor/outdoor security cameras. Ring's new cameras--the Ring Stick Up Cam Wired and Ring Stick Up Cam Battery--will both cost $179.99, with the wired version shipping on October 18th, and the battery version sometime in December. According to Ring, the new cameras will bolster its "Ring of Security" around homes and neighborhoods. Both cameras feature 1080p resolution, night vision, two-way communications, a siren, and integration with Ring Alarm and Alexa. Ring says it expects the battery-based version of the camera to run for 6-12 months depending on usage before the battery needs to be replaced.
