ParkMe's Data To Power Parking For Waze
Data which was originally collected by former Los Angeles parking information provider and mobile app developer ParkMe will go to power the new "where to park" feature in Waze, according to both Waze and ParkMe's new owner, Inrix. According to Inrix this morning, it is in a deal to provide parking data to Waze to power the new parking service for Waze. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Inrix, which acquired ParkMe in August of 2015, says it also provides its parking data to automakers such as Audi, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Toyota and Volkswagen.
