Novatel Wireless Gets FCC Cert
San Diego-based Novatel Wireless, a developer of broadband data cards for the wireless market, has received an FCC certification for its new USB modem, the company said today. The firm's new wireless data micro modem provides EVDO Rev A. connectivity for notebooks, PCs, and PDAs. The firm said the new product is expected to be available in Q4. Novatel claims it is the world's smallest USB modem. Novatel's modems are used to connected notebooks and other computers to high speed wireless networks based on CDMA, GSM, and 3G WCDMA technology.
