NextVR Gets $80M In Series B
Laguna Beach-based virtual reality technology developer NextVR has raised $80M in a Series B funding round, the company announced this morning. According to NextVR, the funding came from Asian investors CITIC Guoan Information Industry Co Ltd, NetEase, CMC Holdings, SoftBank Corp., VMS Investment Group, Founder H Fund, China Asset (Holdings) Limited, Spectrum 28, along with Formation Group, Time Warner Investments, Comcast Ventures, Stephen Ross's RSE Ventures, Mandalay Entertainment CEO Peter Guber, The Madison Square Garden Co., and dick clark productions. The company said the new funding will go towards expanding its global footprint. More information »
