Myricom Names New CEO
Arcadia-based Myricom, a developer of high speed networking interconnect hardware used for high performance computing (HPC), said this week that it has named Nanette (Nan) Boden as its President and CEO. According to Myricom, Boden has been at Myricom since 1994, when the firm was founded. She has been a member of the firm's board since 2001, when she was appointed CFO. Myricom--which is a spinout of Caltech--said it is now developing 10 Gigabit Ethernet network interface cards (NICs), which take advantage of its high performance computing experience, to offer low power consumption and affordable cost. The firm is best known for its development of Myrinet, a low latency networking protocol, along with associated NICs and switches, particularly applicable to low latency, clustered computing. The firm says its most recent products are all built on the 10 Gigabit Ethernet standard.
