Mobophiles Opens Beta
Los Angeles-based Mobophiles, a developer of software tools to allow offline access to web sites and enterprise web applications, said today that it has opened up a limited beta program. The startup said that it beta allows customers to access Microsoft Sharepoint sites even when offline, through Internet Explorer. Mobolize uses caching technology and virtualization to allow laptop users to access web sites, even when they are not available or when there is limited wireless connectivity. The firm said that the initial beta will be limited to the first 1000 users who sign up. Mobolize was co-founded by William Chow and Mark Tsuie.
