Metawave Gets $26M In Bridge Financing
Carlsbad-based Metawave, a startup developing sensors aimed at use in long range, aerial sensing and driver assistance systems, has raised $26M in a debt funding, the company said this week. According to the company, the $26M came in the form of convertible and debt financing. Source of that new funding was not announced. The company said the financing is a "prelude" to a "forthcoming Series B funding". The company says it has now raised over $60M in funding. The company says its devices are being aimed at use in Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) to detect vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, and other objects. The company is led by Metawave CEO and founder, Maha Achour.
