Lyft Gets $250M For Ridesharing Battle
In a move which is bound to ramp up the battle between ridesharing services in Los Angeles and taxi operators, Lyft said Wednesday that it has raised $250M more to expand its services in both the United States and internationally. Lyft is one of the services--along with Uber and Sidecar--which have been making aggressive moves in Los Angeles, which has made LA one of the nation's biggest battlegrounds between ridesharing services and taxi/transportation operators. Lyft has been in Los Angeles since January of last year. Lyft's new funding came from Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Mayfield, as well as Coatue and Alibaba. More information »
