LSI Logic, QLogic Target SMBs
Aliso Viejo-based QLogic and LSI Logic are targeting small and medium business users with a new storage offering this week. The two announced at Storage Networking World in San Diego that the two companies will collaborate on a storage area network (SAN) solution for small and medium businesses. The new offering will be delivered through IBM, and includes DS4000 storage from IBM, and switches, host bus adapters, and management software from QLogic. IBM's storage offerings are based on LSI Logic technology. The packaged solution has been certified as part of Microsoft's Simple SAN initiative.
