HyreCar Names New Board Member

Los Angeles-based car sharing marketplace operator HyreCar announced this morning that it has named a new member of its board of directors. According to HyreCar, it has appointed Jay Vijayan, the former Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Tesla, and current CEO of Tekion, to its board. Tekion is a startup developing business applications in the automotive retail market. Vijayan previously also served at VMware and Oracle, and sits on the board of Nic Inc. HyreCar operates an automotive marketplace, which helps connect vehicle fleet owners with drivers for ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft.
