Factual Partners With TripAdvisor To Bolster Restaurant Data

Factual, the Los Angeles-based provider of a massive, cloud-based database of location and other data, said this morning that it has partnered with TripAdvisor, to complement TripAdvisor's dining options and review. According to the two companies, TripAdvisor will also provide Factual with user-generated data to help maintain freshness and accuracy for Factual's Global Places data. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Both Factual and TripAdvisor maintain an extensive database of information on restaurants, including location data, hours, and other details on those locations; the two said the combined data represents more than one million restaurants.
