EV Startup Canoo Plunged Into Legal Morass
In an unauspicious start, Los Angeles-based electric vehicle startup Canoo--which just barely announced its plans for a self driving, electric vehicle--has already been dragged into a legal morass, after the CEO's wife and former head of communications sued the company alleging discrimination, harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination. Canoo only just announced the company two weeks ago, unveiling a conceptual design for an electric car it claimed it would get to market by 2021, available via subscription. The lawsuit was filed against Canoo and CEO Stefan Krause, by Christina Krause, the former head of communications and wife of the CEO; among other allegations in the lawsuit are of an affair and other intrigue involving the Chinese Communist party.
