Esri Wins Customer In Michigan
Redland-based GIS and mapping software maker Esri has scored a win with the state of Michigan, saying on Thursday that the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) has selected the company to host 25 terabytes of data for the orthophotography and LiDAR data for the state. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Esri said that data is used for more than 60 statewide mapping datasets built on its ArcGIS platform. Esri's ArcGIS platform is widely used in the government and corporate sector for geographical information systems applications.
