Disney-ABC, Netflix Extend Streaming Deal
Burbank-based Disney-ABC Television Group and DVD rental and video streaming business Netflix said this morning that the two have extended an existing, licensing agreement. The two said that the deal will allow Netflix to continue to stream library episodes from ABC Studios, Disney Channela, and ABC Family. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. As part of the deal, the two said that Netflix will also be adding new content to its lineup, including the series "Switched at Birth", "Alias" and Disney Channel's "Kick Buttowski." The companies said that the Disney-ABC series will be available on Netflix 30 days after the last episode of each season airs.
