Cogi Rolls Out Audio Transcription Service
Santa Barbara-based Cogi, a startup which provides a service to capture and transcribe business phone calls, announced today that it has rolled out a new, standalone transcription service. Cogi said its new "Cogi Transcribe" service allows businesses to upload audio or video recordings, and will provide 24 hour turnaround on transcriptions of those recordings for $1.00 per minute. The firm said it is targeting writers, editors, attorneys, and others with the service, which it says is much cheaper than existing offerings. The firm previously offered similar services only through its phone call transcription product. Cogi is headed by Mark Cromack.
