Carbine Studios Unveils Gaming Efforts
Computer gaming publisher NCsoft Corporation announced this morning that it has unveiled a new Orange County studio, based in Aliso Viejo, California. The new game studio, Carbine Studios, is made up of seventeen employees from Blizzard Entertainment, who were formerly working on the massively multiplayer game World of Warcraft. NCsoft said that the new team, led by Kevin Beardslee, Tim Cain, and Jeremy Gaffney, are working on an undisclosed massively multiplayer game. Beardlee was the lead developer on World of Warcraft; Cain was lead designer on Fallout and co-founder of Troika Games; and Gaffney was executive producer of NCsoft's Cities of Heroes.
