Arborbridge Helps International Students With Test Prep
Hoping to help foreign students better prepare themselves to get into U.S. colleges, a new, Santa Monica startup, ArborBridge, has recently begun to ramp up its online tutoring service for the standardized SAT and ACT tests. Arborbridge, founded by Tim Urban and Andrew Finn, connects those foreign students with one-on-one, live online SAT and ACT test preparation help from tutors. The company recently bolstered its efforts, hiring a new Director of International Business Development, Josh Stephens, and Director of Instruction, Kate Ballard-Rosa. Stephens was previously at Application Boot Camp, an admissions workshop firm, and Ballard-Rosa was offering up tutoring on ArborBridge (and also boasts a perfect, 2400 point score on the SAT herself). ArborBridge said that it began its services because foreign students have the same problem as American students do in getting into schools here, but that they have limited access to the elite, test-prep programs available here in the United States.
