Actuate Taps Webalo For Mobile Spreadsheets

Actuate, a provider of enterprise reporting and performance management software, said today that it has combined efforts with Santa Monica-based Webalo, a provider of Web services, to deliver spreadsheets to mobile devices. Actuate said that its Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet has been combined with Webalo's user proxy software to allows users to view spreadsheet data on mobile devices like the RIM BlackBerry, Palm Treo, Windows Mobile, and Java-enabled mobile phones. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
